If your gun reloads like a brick, patch that weakness. If you're always dry on ammo, fix that instead of pretending better aim will solve everything. Also, set a dedicated key for fire-mode switching. Digging through inputs in the middle of a fight is the sort of mistake you only make a few times.

A small delay can save the whole run

When missions start snowballing, enemy pacing becomes the real problem, not any one target. That's why the Localization Confusion booster is stronger than it sounds. A short delay between breaches or drops buys your squad time to reload, reposition, revive, or just breathe for a second. On higher difficulties, those seconds are massive. They're often the difference between a clean extraction and a total collapse with samples left on the ground.
