Hey everyone! With Forza Horizon 6 hitting the ground running since its massive launch back on May 19, most of us are completely hooked on tearing through the neon-drenched streets of Tokyo, conquering Mount Fuji, and sliding across those gorgeous mountain passes. Right now, we are right in the thick of Series 2, "Horizon Decades," which runs from June 18 through July 16, 2026. It’s been a blast diving into automotive history with the 10 free reward cars like the Porsche 911 Leichtbau and checking out the Evolving Car Meet.

But as any Horizon fan knows, we are always looking over the next hill to see what is coming next. Well, you can officially put the rumor mill to rest for the immediate future. Playground Games has already stepped up and confirmed exactly what’s dropping once Series 2 wraps up. Get ready, because the festival is shifting its spotlight away from history and turning it squarely toward raw passion and elite engineering: Series 3 is officially titled Italian Exotics.

What to Expect in Series 3: Italian Exotics

According to the official roadmap shared on the Forza website, Series 3 will take over the festival immediately following the conclusion of Series 2 in mid-July. Playground Games has already locked in a bunch of exciting content that should make supercar fans incredibly happy. Here is the breakdown of what we know is coming:

A Fresh Batch of Italian Machines: The upcoming update will bring a wave of highly requested Italian vehicles that you can earn directly through the seasonal Festival Playlist. If you love sleek lines and screaming V10s or V12s, this series is custom-built for you.

Italian Passion Car Pack: Alongside the free playlist rewards, a brand-new premium DLC pack is launching. The best part? If you own the Premium Edition of the game or bought the Premium Upgrade, this pack will drop at no additional cost. For everyone else, it will be available as a separate purchase.

The Ferrari F80 Arrives: This is the absolute headline act. Playground Games confirmed that Ferrari's latest flagship hypercar, the spectacular Ferrari F80, will be leading the Italian Passion Car Pack. Getting behind the wheel of this engineering marvel in virtual Japan is going to be unforgettable.

Themed Seasonal Events: To match the vibe, expect a brand-new set of PR stunts, custom races, and playlist challenges entirely tailored around high-speed exotic driving. It's time to stretch the legs of these supercars on the highways and open roads.

Exclusive Collectibles & Badges: For the completionists out there, Series 3 will add a unique Series 3 profile Badge and a brand-new exclusive smashable Collectible scattered across the map to unlock and show off on your profile tags.

The Horizon 6 Roadmap at a Glance

To help visualize how the early lifecycle of Horizon 6 is shaping up, here is a quick overview of the journey from day one to the upcoming Italian Exotics update:

Series Theme Major Highlights
Series 1 Launch / Horizon Japan Introduction to the Japanese map, iconic JTC Skyline, and early reward cars.
Series 2 Horizon Decades 10 free reward cars (including the Porsche 911 Leichtbau), Car Pass drops, and the Evolving Car Meet. Active until July 16, 2026.
Series 3 Italian Exotics Italian Passion Car Pack featuring the flagship Ferrari F80, themed exotic events, and new profile badges.

Looking Further Ahead: The First Expansion Rumors

While Series 3 gives us plenty of official content to look forward to in July, the rumor mill hasn't stopped completely. Data mining and early community leaks have started pointing toward what the game's first major expansion might look like.

The current word on the street is that Expansion 1 will be titled "Drift Island." If the leaks are accurate, this expansion will focus heavily on highly technical mountain touge roads. It sounds like the perfect thematic companion to the main Japan map, giving the drift community an entire dedicated playground to shred tires and master tight hairpins.

For now, we have plenty to keep us busy in Series 2, but knowing that the Ferrari F80 and a whole fleet of Italian exotics are waiting for us in Series 3 makes the future of Forza Horizon 6 look incredibly bright. What cars are you hoping to see added to the playlist? Drop your thoughts in the comments below, and I'll see you on the roads of Japan!
